Vivek Oberoi Biography

With his chocolate looks, sturdy body and a killing smile, this Bollywood sensation made waves with his unconventional debut in Ram Gopal Varma’s “Company”. Son of renowned actor Suresh Oberoi, he is the very charming, Vivek Oberoi.

This handsome actor was born on 3rd September, 1976. He went to the Mayo college, Ajmer. He also lived in London to attend an acting workshop and later in New York where he completed his Masters Degree in film acting.

Not many know that Vivek began his career with script writing and dubbing for films when he wrote a script for director Vidhu Vinod Chopra. He also bought his 1st car with the money he earned!

With his 1st release “Complany”, Vivek sprang to stardom. He won the "best debut actor award" and also won the award for "best supporting actor” for the film. Vivek went on winning hearts with the psycho thriller “Road”, “Saathiya” and “Dum”.

Thereafter began an array of films each different from the other in its theme and genre. From the horror struck “Darna Mana Hai” to the man bored of his married life in the comedy “Masti” to the Kesu Firangi in “Omkara”, Vivek has undoubtedly shown that acting runs through his blood.

His latest releases “Shootout at Lokhandwala” and “Fool N Final” have done average business at the box office. While the former is based partly on facts, the latter is a pure work of fiction.

For quite a few months Vivek’s link ups with Bollywood queen Aishwarya Rai, hit high. They were seen working together in the flop flick “Kyun Ho Gaya Na?” along with Amitabh Bachchan. They were often seen together at parties and award functions. But their break up came equally quickly.

Vivek loves watching films. He admits that it is the best way of unwinding for him. Today he has quite a few films in his kitty and he wants to do it one at a time. He is surely a promising actor, who has the ability to surprise one and all with his acting skills.
