Ayesha Takia Biography

She might be a new face in the film fraternity, but she is definitely no stranger to the cameras and arc lights. From the tender age of 4, she has been appearing for advertisements. Remember the ad with a line “I am a Complan girl”? That was young Ayesha Takia.

Only a few films old, this go-getter was born on 10th April, 1986. Her father is a Gujarati while her mother is part British and part Maharashtrian. She soon became a well known face with music videos like “Meri Chunar Udd Udd Jaye” and “Shake It Daddy”.

She first signed “Socha na tha” but her first released film was “Taarzan; the wonder car”, for which she was also awarded the best newcomer of 2004.Ayesha soon became popular amongst the young generation with films like “Socha Na Tha”, “Dil Maange More” and the multi starrer “Shaadi No.1”. She also appeared in a 2006 Telegu movie named 'Robbery', which was later dubbed into Hindi and released as 'Super'.


Another film which marks the versatility of this actress is “Dor” which tells a story about the hardships of life of two women coming from different background in a male dominated society but eventually they are united in a common string of events. Ayesha’s acting was deeply appreciated by everybody.


A complete vegetarian, Ayesha has a love for animals. She not only avoids wearing animal skin like leather, but also discourages people to use products tested on animals. In her leisure time, she loves reading, spending time with her family, going for long drives and reuniting with old pals.

The inability to speak fluent Hindi has never let Ayesha feel discouraged about acting. She has tried her level best to overcome her drawback. With only a few films done, Ayesha has already proved her vulnerability as a glam doll to a girl next door image.

Her latst flick “Fool N Final” could not cast a spell on the audiences but Ayesha was praised for a sweet innocent and bubbly looks.


Ayesha Takia was amongst the Top Ten on the listing of India's 50 Most Desirable Women Alive, a poll conducted by Zoom, an Indian tv channel. She is a bundle of talent and good looks and is sure to make a name for herself.
