Zayed Khan Biography

He is the brother in law of Hrithik Roshan and he belongs to a family of talented actors. His cousin brother is the heartthrob Fardeen Khan and uncle is Firoz Khan. We are talking about the young and dynamic Zayed Khan.

Born in 1980, this Khan aspired to act in Hindi films from an age of 8! He studied at Welham Boys' School, Dehradun and the Kodaikanal International School, Kodaikanal. Later he completed his education in the UK.

His parents are Bollywood actor Sanjay Khan and Zarine Khan. Zayed is both a Pathan and a Muslim. He has three sisters, Suzanne Khan: married to Hrithik Roshan, Simon Khan and Farah Khan.

Being surrounded by films and actors from when he was a toddler, getting into films was not as difficult for Zayed as it is for people with no connections in Bollywood. He debuted in “Chura Liya Hai Tumne” in 2003 with childhood friend Esha Deol. The film flopped at the box office.

Zayed’s actual claim to fame came with Choreographer Farah Khan’s directional debut “Main Hoon Na” in 2004, which also starred Shah rukh Khan, Sushmita Sen and Amrita Rao. He was adored by everyone in the character of the fun loving and bindaas “Lucky”.

Then came the multi starrer “Dus”in July 2005, which also did quite well with its acting and the story. Directed by Anubhav Sinha, this story is an action packed thriller where Zayed has shown some really good acting skills with his character “Aditya”.

His other films include “Vaada”, “Shabd”, “Fight Club”, “Shaadi No. 1” and “Rocky”. None of the films have done magic to Indian cinema, though all have done about moderately.

On 20 November,2005, this 5’11” hunk married his long time girlfriend, Malaika Parekh. The same year he was nominated for the best supporting actor for “Main Hoon Na”. In 2004, he went on an international stage show tour “Rockstars” with John Abraham, Esha Deol, Mallika Sherawat, Shahid Kapoor, and Salman Khan.
